DevOps. How and why to DevOps in Java. Demystification of DevOps as a term and some live examples used in practice. As DevOps has appeared only recently in Croatia, many has adopted it as a good practice and opened new job positions without knowing the full potential it can bring. Here we offer basic guidelines and warn about possible pitfalls.

About speaker

Šporer Simon

Simon Šporer, author

Simon is a developer, team lead and an architect with long history of development in Java from simple to complex, enterprise level applications. He post-graduated as a specialist in development and management and is currently employed by Serengeti and is working for domestic and foreign clients. Besides his regular tasks, he also worked as a teacher in advanced Java development on FER during 2017/2018.

Lenić Željko

Željko Lenić, coauthor

Željko Lenić was born in Vinkovci in 1983, after natural mathematical grammar school 2011 he graduated University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. He started working in Erste card club d.d. and additionally educated in Object oriented programming and database systems. Soon after, he moves to Končar-INEM where he develops build in systems for wireless control and supervision of industrial processes. He started working in Serengeti in 2016, where he profiles as DevOps engineer. Same year he started his phd in university of Zagreb and coauthors his first science article.
