Serengeti, the Croatian consultancy for providing software development solutions, has grown over the past 12 years into a company with over 140 employees, with head office in Zagreb, offices in Vienna and Amsterdam, and development centres in Bjelovar and Varaždin.The company provides services related to the development of complex enterprise business applications for users according to the Team Extension model, ensuring business partners receive a full-rounded software consulting service. The Team Extension model, that is, the ambassador model, was introduced to enhance communication with the client. After agreeing to cooperation, it is the ambassador’s task to spend a few months with the client, and to soak in as much information as possible, their way of thinking and working, and then to transfer that knowledge to colleagues in the Serengeti team, and to apply the gained information when conceiving solutions to satisfy the client’s needs. Such a relationship model with clients is new to the world, and it has yet to be introduced by any Croatian company. Furthermore, the Team Extension model brings greater success rates and quality execution compared to the traditional body leasing service.With the Austrian company Fronius, one of the leady global technology companies that provides innovative solutions for solar, welding and battery equipment, Serengeti has applied the Team Extension model of cooperation. We have been cooperating with the company for three years already. We enjoy the client’s full trust and have been given free rein, therefore, in addition to providing software solutions, we also offer consulting services. The cooperation began after Serengeti proved itself with quality performance of base services, such as the development and testing of software. Thanks to the client’s trust in us, we have moved on to developing applications whereby professional welders in the automobile industry, by means of tablets, control welding equipment on a robot arm, which requires superior quality and extreme precision. Today, we are also the client’s consultants in the business domain, integrated with their development team. As a result of implementations that exceed what was promised, we are often hired by the client’s other departments. The cooperation, which began with Fronius’ Perfect Welding Department, has been expanded to include Fronius’ Solar Department as well.Serengeti encourages programmers to proactively recommend solutions: for instance, they may point out modifications to certain lines of code to make further upgrades simpler and more functional.
